With more than 15 years of experience in intensive and critical care, Dr. Abdelhalim Mohamed Hegazy brings a wealth of clinical expertise shaped by his practice in Egypt and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. His work spans the full spectrum of ICU services, with particular emphasis on trauma care, emergency interventions, and managing complex multisystem conditions.
Dr. Hegazy obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MB.B.Ch.) from Mansoura University in Egypt, followed by a Master’s degree in Critical Care Medicine from Alexandria University. He then pursued a PhD in Critical Care Medicine at Cairo University, reinforcing both his academic and clinical foundation.
Throughout his career, Dr. Hegazy has held key roles at high-acuity medical centers, including King Fahd Hospital of the University (affiliated with Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University) in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia. He has also delivered critical care during large-scale health missions, such as the Hajj in Mecca, and in several tertiary hospitals across Egypt.
In addition to clinical care, Dr. Hegazy is passionate about education and research. He has trained interns and residents, participated in national workshops and symposia, and contributed to research in the fields of cardiology, nephrology, and critical care. His academic contributions include poster presentations, published abstracts, and peer-reviewed submissions addressing ICU protocols and patient outcome predictors.
Prior to joining Sheikh Sultan Bin Zayed Hospital, Dr. Hegazy served as ICU Senior Registrar at King Fahd Hospital of the University in Saudi Arabia.
At Sheikh Sultan Bin Zayed Hospital, he provides comprehensive care for critically ill patients in intensive care units, with a focus on emergency procedures, bedside interventions, and complex diagnostics.
