Dr. Aejaz Ahmed, MD (Radiology), FRCR (UK) is a UK-certified Specialist Radiologist with over 10 years of comprehensive experience in diagnostic and non-vascular interventional radiology. He holds a Doctor of Medicine (MD) in Radiology and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists (FRCR), United Kingdom.
Dr. Aejaz possesses advanced expertise in cross-sectional and multimodality imaging, including 128-slice multidetector CT (MDCT), MRI, high-resolution ultrasound, mammography, and advanced Doppler studies. His subspecialty interests encompass Musculoskeletal imaging, Body imaging, and Non-vascular image-guided interventions. He has extensive experience performing complex procedures such as breast, lung, liver, prostate, and renal biopsies; oncologic image-guided biopsies; and catheter drainage procedures, delivering high standards of precision and patient-centred care.
He has served in leading tertiary-care and JCI-accredited institutions, including Apollo Health City, MNJ Cancer Institute, and Aster Hospitals, Dubai. At Aster Hospitals, Dr. Aejaz has been an active contributor to multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings and tumour boards, where he provided specialized expertise in oncologic imaging and image-guided interventions for complex and high-acuity cases, supporting evidence-based clinical decision-making.
In academia, he held the position of Radiology Lead and Educational and Clinical Supervisor for IMT–MRCP training programme at Aster Hospital, Dubai affiliated with the Joint Royal Colleges of Physicians Training Board (JRCPTB), United Kingdom. His responsibilities included conducting structured induction appraisals, serving as an ARCP reviewer and examiner, and ensuring adherence to UK postgraduate training standards. He also served as Assistant Professor of Radiology, contributing significantly to undergraduate and postgraduate medical education, curriculum development, and research supervision.
He has authored multiple publications in indexed peer-reviewed journals and has presented his work at national and international scientific conferences.
