Dr. Ahmed Samir Abdulsamad is a seasoned General Surgery Specialist with over 15 years of clinical experience spanning Egypt and the United Arab Emirates. He brings a focused expertise in colorectal surgery, laparoscopic techniques, and the surgical management of benign and malignant gastrointestinal conditions.
Dr. Abdulsamad holds a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBCh) from Cairo University, Egypt, and a Master’s degree in General Surgery from the same institution. He later completed a prestigious Fellowship in Colorectal Surgery at Ain Shams University Hospitals, where he advanced his training in complex procedures such as laparoscopic colectomy, proctectomy, and anorectal surgeries.
Prior to joining Sheikh Sultan Bin Zayed Hospital, Dr. Abdulsamad served in various reputable hospitals, including El Demerdash University Hospital, the International Medical Center in Egypt, and most recently, Thumbay University Hospital and Sheikh Khalifa General Hospital in the UAE. His work includes a wide scope of surgical procedures such as hernia repairs, hemorrhoidectomies, appendectomies, laparoscopic cholecystectomies, and pilonidal sinus surgeries.
Throughout his career, Dr. Abdulsamad has actively contributed to academic research in the field of colorectal surgery, with publications in respected peer-reviewed journals such as The Oncologist, JMIR Cancer, and The Medical Journal of Cairo University. His research focuses on surgical outcomes, colorectal cancer screening, and post-operative management strategies.
