Dr. Ammar Fathalaleem Taha Mohamedelhaj is a dedicated General Surgery physician with nearly a decade of experience across Sudan and the UAE. He has built his clinical foundation in both emergency and elective surgical procedures, with additional experience managing patients with infectious diseases and co-morbidities during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Dr. Mohamedelhaj earned his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) from the Faculty of Medicine at Kordofan University in Sudan. He later pursued postgraduate training in General Surgery through the Sudan Medical Specialization Council, passing both the core surgical sciences and initial board exams. In 2020, he successfully passed the Department of Health (DOH/HAAD) licensure exam in Abu Dhabi.
Prior to joining Sheikh Sultan Bin Zayed Hospital, Dr. Mohamedelhaj served on the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic at the Emirates Field Hospital in Abu Dhabi, where he managed inpatient cases with both infectious and chronic conditions. He also worked at Al Obied Teaching Hospital in Sudan as a Medical Doctor in the General Surgery Department, where he assisted in major operations, independently performed minor procedures, and mentored junior medical staff.
