Dr. Anas Sorathia is a General Practitioner with over a decade of clinical experience across India and the UAE, with a focus on emergency medicine, intensive care, and general surgery. His approach combines international medical training with practical experience in high-acuity hospital environments, enabling him to deliver timely, effective, and patient-centered care.
Dr. Sorathia earned his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from Al Ameen Medical College under Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences in India. He later completed a Diploma in Emergency Medicine from the Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP), enhancing his expertise in managing acute and trauma-related cases. He also completed a clinical externship at Loretto Hospital in Chicago, gaining exposure to U.S. healthcare protocols.
Prior to joining Sheikh Sultan Bin Zayed Hospital, Dr. Sorathia held various posts across India and the UAE. He served as a General Practitioner in the Emergency Department of Aster Hospital in Dubai, and earlier worked in intensive care and accident & emergency departments at several leading hospitals in Mumbai, including Wockhardt Hospital, Prince Aly Khan Hospital, and P.D. Hinduja Hospital. He also held roles in emergency medicine at Apollo Hospital in Gujarat and pediatrics at Sir JJ Hospital.
At Sheikh Sultan Bin Zayed Hospital, Dr. Sorathia currently serves in the General Surgery Department, where he provides outpatient and inpatient care, supports minor surgical procedures, and ensures seamless triage and referral of acute cases. His qualifications are supported by multiple active medical licenses across India and the UAE, including the Department of Health (DOH – Abu Dhabi), and certifications in advanced cardiac, trauma, and pediatric life support.
