Dr. Arun Kumar is a Specialist in Anesthesiology with over 18 years of clinical experience across India, Kuwait, and the UAE. His extensive career spans neuroanesthesia, regional blocks, trauma care, and anesthesia for a wide range of surgical specialties. His proficiency in emergency preparedness and battlefield care has shaped his approach to delivering responsive, high-acuity anesthetic care under varied conditions.
Dr. Kumar holds a Doctor of Medicine (Anesthesiology) from Patna University, India, and a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from Utkal University. He further enhanced his qualifications by earning the European Diploma in Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care (EDAIC) from the European Society of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care in Brussels. He is also certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Basic Life Support (BLS).
Prior to joining Sheikh Sultan Bin Zayed Hospital, Dr. Kumar served at Zayed Military Hospital and NMC Hospital in Dubai, and previously held registrar and senior resident roles at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Al-Sabah Hospital in Kuwait, and Patna Medical College. His work has taken him into the heart of conflict zones, including a recent humanitarian deployment to Gaza, where he managed complex trauma cases.
