Dr. Baher Ashour is a seasoned Consultant Otolaryngologist with over 25 years of clinical experience, specializing in the diagnosis and surgical management of hearing and balance disorders. His core focus lies in otologic surgery, including cochlear implantation, endoscopic ear surgery, and lateral skull base procedures.
Dr. Ashour holds a Fellowship from the European Board of Otorhinolaryngology and Head & Neck Surgery (FEBORL) and a Doctorate in Otorhinolaryngology from Cairo University. He also holds a Master’s in Audiology for ENT Practice from University College London, earned with distinction. His rich academic and clinical background has positioned him as a regional leader in advanced ENT care.
Prior to joining Sheikh Sultan Bin Zayed Hospital, Dr. Ashour served as Chair of the Otolaryngology Department at SEHA’s Ambulatory Healthcare Services in Abu Dhabi, and held a longstanding academic post as Assistant Professor at Cairo University Medical School. He has practiced extensively across the UAE and Egypt, and has played a central role in establishing and expanding ENT clinics across Abu Dhabi and Al Ain.
Dr. Ashour is a member of multiple international societies including the European Academy of Otology and Neurotology, and the International Working Group on Endoscopic Ear Surgery. He is also a faculty member of the Tarabichi Stammberger Ear and Sinus Institute (TSESI) and regularly contributes to regional and global ENT training programs as an instructor and presenter.
