Dr. Charandeep Kaur is a highly experienced Specialist Dermatologist with more than 25 years of clinical and academic expertise in dermatology, venereology, and cosmetology. She currently serves in the UAE Armed Forces, holding licensure from both the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DOH) and the Ministry of Health (MOH), and has been practicing in the UAE since 2004.
Dr. Kaur earned her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from M.P. Shah Medical College under Saurashtra University in Gujarat, India. She went on to complete her Doctor of Medicine (MD) in Dermatology, Venereology and Leprology, and later obtained a Diplomate of National Board (DNB) certification in the same specialty. Her post-graduate training also includes a senior residency at Government Medical College and Hospital in Chandigarh, India, where she gained advanced experience across outpatient clinics, inpatient care, diagnostic and therapeutic dermatologic procedures, dermatosurgery, and academic training.
Prior to joining the UAE Armed Forces in 2014, and now Sheikh Sultan Bin Zayed Hospital, Dr. Kaur worked as a Specialist Dermatologist in Sharjah for 10 years. Earlier in her career in India, she was involved in multiple national public health initiatives and research programs, including sentinel surveillance for HIV/AIDS under the National AIDS Control Organization (NACO) and community-based rehabilitation for patients affected by leprosy.
Dr. Kaur has contributed significantly to academic research, with over 20 publications in peer-reviewed international journals and multiple presentations at prestigious conferences, including the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology, the American Academy of Dermatology, and the Indian Association of Dermatologists, Venereologists and Leprologists (IADVL). She was awarded the Dr. P.S. Ranganathan Award and other recognitions for her research in dermatology and sexually transmitted diseases.
She is a life member of several prominent professional associations, including the Indian Association of Dermatologists, Venereologists and Leprologists (IADVL), the Association of Cutaneous Surgeons of India (ACSI), and an associate member of the American Academy of Dermatology. Her clinical areas of interest include autoimmune skin conditions, leprosy, medical dermatology, cosmetic dermatology, and education in dermatologic health.
