He brings to Sheikh Sultan Bin Zayed Hospital extensive expertise in managing complex surgical cases, particularly in gastrointestinal, bariatric, and minimally invasive procedures. His surgical approach blends advanced technique with a patient-centered philosophy, and he has contributed to the field through published case reports and ongoing mentorship of junior surgeons.
Dr. Haitham completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from Crimea Medical University and holds the Jordanian Board of General Surgery. He is also certified in Basic Life Support (BLS). Over the years, he has developed a reputation for excellence in laparoscopic and open surgical interventions and is well-versed in handling a wide range of cases, including hernias, anorectal conditions, thyroid disorders, and abdominal wall reconstruction.
Prior to joining Sheikh Sultan Bin Zayed Hospital, Dr. Haitham Sawalmeh worked as a Consultant General Surgeon at Prime Hospital in Dubai, UAE. There, he led several surgical services and played a key role in surgical education and clinical mentorship.
