Dr. Irfan Ahmad Latoo is a specialist in orthopedic surgery with over 10 years of clinical experience across India and the Middle East. He holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and a Master of Surgery (MS) in Orthopedics from Government Medical College, Jammu, India. He completed his orthopedic residency at the Bone and Joint Hospital in Srinagar, a tertiary care institute dedicated to orthopedic specialization and postgraduate training.
Prior to joining Sheikh Sultan Bin Zayed Hospital, Dr. Latoo served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopedics at Acharya Shri Chander College of Medical Sciences (ASCOMS) in Jammu, where he was actively involved in clinical care, undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, and surgical mentorship. He also worked at King Saud Medical City in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia—one of the region’s largest trauma centers with over 1,500 beds—where he handled high-acuity trauma and complex joint reconstruction cases as an Associate Consultant.
His surgical expertise spans orthopedic trauma, pelvic and acetabular fractures, hip and knee replacement surgeries (arthroplasty), and pediatric orthopedics, including developmental dysplasia of the hip (DDH) and congenital talipes equinovarus (CTEV, commonly known as clubfoot). He also performs spinal procedures and various deformity correction surgeries. Throughout his career, Dr. Latoo has remained actively engaged in research, medical education, and mentoring junior doctors.
