Dr. Irfan Latoo MS, FRCS (Edin) is a Specialist Orthopedic Surgeon with over 15 years of post-qualification clinical experience across India and the Middle East. He completed his MBBS and MS in Orthopedics from Government Medical College, Srinagar, a 2,500-bedded tertiary care teaching hospital and one of the busiest orthopedic and trauma referral centers in North India.
Dr. Latoo completed his MS Orthopedics training in 2011 at this high-volume center, gaining extensive hands-on surgical exposure in complex trauma, polytrauma, pelvic and acetabular fractures, joint replacement surgery, sports injuries, and deformity correction procedures. He continued at the same institution as a Senior Registrar, further strengthening his expertise in complex orthopedic trauma and adult reconstructive surgery.
He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (FRCS Edin), United Kingdom, reflecting his advanced professional standing and competency in orthopedic surgery.
Prior to joining Sheikh Sultan Bin Zayed Hospital, Dr. Latoo served as Assistant Professor (Consultant) of Orthopedics at Acharya Shri Chander College of Medical Sciences (ASCOMS), where he was actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, surgical training, and mentoring junior doctors. He also worked as an Associate Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon at King Saud Medical City, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, one of the largest tertiary trauma centers in the Middle East, where he managed high-acuity trauma cases, complex pelvic and acetabular fractures, and advanced joint reconstruction procedures.
He has multiple publications in reputable national and international peer-reviewed journals and remains actively involved in clinical research and medical education.
