Dr. Khaled Ibrahim has more than 14 years of medical experience in family medicine and primary healthcare, with extensive clinical experience in outpatient, emergency, and occupational health settings.
Dr. Ibrahim obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from Cairo University, Egypt, in 1998. He later completed fellowship training in Family Medicine at the University of California, Irvine, in 2001. He also holds a Diploma in Healthcare Quality Management from the American University in Cairo, completed in 2009.
Dr. Ibrahim has developed strong expertise in the diagnosis and management of a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions within primary care settings. His clinical work includes patient consultations, preventive healthcare, management of chronic illnesses, and coordination of care with specialist services when required. He also has experience managing urgent care cases including respiratory emergencies, cardiac events, allergic reactions, seizures, and diabetic emergencies.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Ibrahim has played an active role in healthcare quality improvement initiatives and clinical governance. He has participated in hospital quality management processes, clinical auditing, and accreditation activities, including projects related to Joint Commission International (JCI) standards and quality improvement frameworks designed to enhance patient safety and healthcare delivery.
Prior to joining Sheikh Sultan Bin Zayed Hospital, Dr. Ibrahim worked across several healthcare institutions in Abu Dhabi, including Ain Alhayah Medical Primary Health Care, Vitamin Medical Centre, and Top Care Medical Centre. Earlier in his career, he worked with the Ministry of Health and Population in Egypt, where he gained extensive experience in primary care, emergency medicine, and community health programs.
At Sheikh Sultan Bin Zayed Hospital, Dr. Ibrahim’s scope of practice covers the assessment, diagnosis, and management of a wide range of general medical conditions, preventive healthcare and health screening, management of chronic diseases such as hypertension and diabetes, urgent care management, and coordination of patient care with specialist departments when advanced treatment or evaluation is required.
