Dr. Alawad has nearly 17 years of experience in Internal Medicine, with extensive experience across inpatient and outpatient care, acute and chronic disease management, and women’s health. She joins Sheikh Sultan Bin Zayed Hospital from Danat Al Emarat Hospital, UAE.
She obtained her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Khartoum, Sudan, in 2006, followed by a rotating internship at Atbara Teaching Hospital from 2007 to 2008. In 2017, Dr. Alawad became a Member of the Royal College of Physicians of the United Kingdom (MRCP UK).
Dr. Alawad has worked in Sudan, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE, including roles at Al Rahba Hospital and most recently at Danat Al Emarat Hospital.
Prior to joining Sheikh Sultan Bin Zayed Hospital, Dr. Alawad served as a Specialist in Internal Medicine at Danat Al Emarat Hospital, UAE.
Dr. Alawad’s scope of practice includes the diagnosis and management of acute and chronic diseases, inpatient and outpatient care, management of diabetes, hypertension, asthma, thyroid disease, anemia, pregnancy-related medical conditions, and the treatment of infectious diseases and gastrointestinal disorders.
