Dr. Muhammad Hasif is a highly experienced anesthesiologist with over 18 years of clinical practice, including more than 12 years in post-specialist roles. His expertise spans a wide range of surgical subspecialties, including general, cardiothoracic, neurosurgical, orthopedic, gynecological, ENT (ear, nose and throat), pediatric, plastic, and laparoscopic procedures. He has a particular interest in neuroanesthesia, obstetric anesthesia, and airway management in high-risk patients.
Dr. Hasif earned his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from Calicut University in Kerala, India. He went on to complete a Diploma in Anesthesiology and a Doctor of Medicine in Anesthesiology from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. He also holds the European Diploma in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care, awarded by the European Society of Anaesthesiology.
Prior to joining Sheikh Sultan Bin Zayed Hospital, Dr. Hasif served at Zayed Military Hospital in Abu Dhabi, where he worked across intensive care and surgical units. He has also held academic and clinical roles in India and Saudi Arabia, including as Associate Professor of Anesthesiology at MES Medical College and Government Medical Colleges in Kerala. In Saudi Arabia, he worked as a Specialist Anesthesiologist at King Khalid Hospital, managing both elective and emergency surgical cases.
Dr. Hasif is committed to continuous learning and medical education, having attended numerous continuing medical education programs and international training sessions in difficult airway management, resuscitation, and obstetric anesthesia. He is also involved in mentoring junior doctors and promoting safe anesthetic practices.
