Dr. Muhanad Abu Sineina Mustafa is a seasoned Consultant in Gastroenterology with over 21 years of clinical experience across Sudan, the United States, and the UAE. He currently serves at Sheikh Sultan Bin Zayed Hospital, where he brings deep expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of complex gastrointestinal, hepatic, and pancreatic conditions. His clinical interests include GERD, inflammatory bowel disease, functional bowel disorders, and non-surgical obesity management, with a strong focus on advanced endoscopic interventions.
Dr. Mustafa completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at the University of Khartoum in Sudan. He pursued dual Internal Medicine residencies in Khartoum and at Wright State University in Ohio, United States, followed by a Fellowship in Gastroenterology at Wright State University in Florida. During his time in the U.S., he served as Chief Resident and later led the Advanced GI Endoscopy Department at Florida Hospital in Tampa.
His contributions to the field have been recognized internationally: he was twice nominated as a leading physician in the state of Florida and was listed in the Who’s Who in America (2013 Edition) for excellence in gastroenterology and medical practice.
Prior to joining Sheikh Sultan Bin Zayed Hospital, Dr. Mustafa was Head of the Gastroenterology Unit at Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib Hospital in Dubai and most recently served as a Consultant in Gastroenterology at Mubadala Health Dubai, where he played a central role in enhancing patient-centered GI care.
