Dr. Nourhan Alshahat has nearly a decade of medical experience in general practice, pediatrics, neonatal intensive care, and emergency medicine.
Dr. Alshahat obtained her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from Mansoura University in Egypt in 2015. She completed her medical internship at Mansoura University Hospitals between 2016 and 2017. She is currently pursuing membership of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (MRCPCH) in the United Kingdom. In addition, she holds certifications in Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Basic Neonatal Care.
Dr. Alshahat has developed broad clinical experience across general practice, pediatric medicine, neonatal care, and emergency medicine. Her work includes assessing patients, developing treatment and management plans, coordinating care with multidisciplinary medical teams, and providing both clinic-based and home-based medical care. She has experience managing a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions and is committed to providing patient-centered care supported by evidence-based medical practice.
Prior to joining Sheikh Sultan Bin Zayed Hospital, Dr. Alshahat worked as a General Practitioner at VIP Doctor on Call in Dubai, where she provided comprehensive medical care to patients in both clinic and home-care settings. Earlier in her career, she worked as a Pediatric Resident at Abu Rudeis Central Hospital in Egypt, gaining experience in pediatrics, neonatal intensive care, and emergency medicine. She also served as a Pediatric PICU and NICU Resident at Mansheyat Al Bakry Hospital in Cairo and as a NICU Resident at El Demerdash Hospital, Ain Shams University.
At Sheikh Sultan Bin Zayed Hospital, Dr. Alshahat’s scope of practice covers the assessment, diagnosis, and management of general medical conditions, outpatient consultations, urgent care management, preventive healthcare, patient education, and coordination of care with specialist departments when advanced evaluation or treatment is required.
