Dr. Omar Maghaireh is a German-trained Consultant Urologist and accomplished surgical educator with over 14 years of clinical experience in urology, including extensive expertise in uro-oncology, andrology, robotic surgery, endourology, reconstructive procedures, and pediatric urology. He currently serves as Head of the Urology Department at Sheikh Sultan Bin Zayed Hospital, bringing with him a wealth of international training and a reputation for surgical precision and innovation.
Dr. Maghaireh holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the Jordan University of Science and Technology and earned the German Board of Urology (Facharzt) in 2017. He also holds the Fellowship of the European Board of Urology (FEBU), along with multiple advanced fellowships in cystectomy and urinary diversion (Mansoura Urology Center, Egypt), medical tumor therapy (Saarland, Germany), and andrology (Saarland University Hospital, Germany). His academic contributions include lecturing roles at Saarland and Würzburg Universities in Germany, and he currently serves as proctor and surgical trainer for Boston Scientific, specializing in penile prosthesis implantation.
Before joining Sheikh Sultan Bin Zayed Hospital, Dr. Maghaireh was Senior Consultant and Vice Head of Urology, as well as Head of Robotic Surgery, at Helios Hospital in Bonn, Germany. He also served as Course Director of the “Cystectomy & Urinary Diversion Masterclass with hands-on training on human cadavers” at the University of Witten/Herdecke for three consecutive years.
At Sheikh Sultan Bin Zayed Hospital, Dr. Maghaireh’s scope of practice includes the comprehensive surgical management of urologic cancers, andrology and male infertility, advanced stone disease treatment, reconstructive urology, and pediatric urology. He is also skilled in advanced diagnostic ultrasound and image-guided biopsy techniques.
