Dr. Osama Gharsaa is a highly experienced Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon with over 22 years of clinical experience in managing complex orthopedic conditions across adult patients. He brings a strong background in trauma care, reconstructive surgery, and joint replacement, with training and practice spanning the Middle East and North America.
Dr. Gharsaa completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at Al Fateh University for Medical Science in Libya, followed by an extensive Orthopedic Surgery training program at McMaster University in Canada. He further advanced his expertise through a dedicated two-year fellowship at McMaster University, strengthening his subspecialty focus in trauma surgery and lower limb reconstruction and foot and ankle surgery
He is certified in Orthopedic Surgery and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, reflecting his commitment to delivering care that meets the highest international clinical standards.
Prior to joining Sheikh Sultan Bin Zayed Hospital, Dr. Gharsaa served as an Orthopedic Consultant at the Oshawa Clinic Group/Lakeridge health hospital in Canada for over 17 years, where he managed a wide spectrum of complex orthopedic trauma and reconstructive cases. Dr Osama Gharsaa was also an assistant professor at McMaster university.
