Biography

Dr. Pranab Gyawali is a Consultant Gastroenterologist who completed his medical school at Guys and St Thomas’ Medical School in London in 1997. He undertook advanced GI training in London and obtained his CCT in Gastroenterology in 2007. He subsequently took up a Consultant post at Barking Havering Redbridge Hospital in North east London and was there between 2008 and 2022. During this period, he provided a comprehensive GI service that was recognized by peers and awarded 3 Clinical Excellence points.

He has a track record in leading service developments within his department having established a GI Physiology Unit and commenced the first Inflammatory Bowel Disease multidisciplinary meeting at his hospital. He has spent time as a Care Quality Commission Hospital Inspector and as Examiner for the Royal College of Physicians (UK) for PACES Exam.

He has published in International journals and presented at National Conferences. He has an interest in Inflammatory bowel disease and patients with motility problems.

Dr. Pranab Gyawali is also a member of the British Society of Gastroenterology Small Bowel and Nutrition Committee and a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (UK). He is registered with the UK General Medical Council in addition to holding a DHA License.
