Dr. Ramy Samy is an experienced Emergency Medicine Specialist with over 16 years of clinical practice across Egypt and the UAE. He brings to Sheikh Sultan Bin Zayed Hospital a solid track record in acute care, trauma management, and emergency medical response, with a focus on patient-centered, culturally sensitive care. His approach combines clinical acumen with a deep understanding of hospital operations and care coordination.
Dr. Samy earned his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBCh) from Ain Shams University in Cairo, Egypt, and completed a year-long rotating internship at Ain Shams University Hospitals. He has pursued extensive postgraduate training in emergency care and critical life support, holding certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). He is also certified by the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) in the United States and has completed all required steps of the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE). In addition, Dr. Samy holds the Fellowship of the Royal College of Emergency Medicine (FRCEM) Primary, Intermediate, and OSCE certifications.
Prior to joining Sheikh Sultan Bin Zayed Hospital, Dr. Samy served as an Emergency Physician at Global Medical Solutions in the UAE, as well as in the Emergency Departments of Zayed Military Hospital in Sharjah and Al Ain Hospital. He also gained significant emergency and surgical experience at San Peter Specialized Hospital and El Hayah Specialized Hospital in Egypt. His early career included work as a family doctor in a governmental healthcare unit and medical consultancy for an international NGO.
Dr. Samy is proficient in a wide range of emergency procedures, including airway management, surgical wound closure, trauma stabilization, and advanced resuscitation techniques. He also has experience in outpatient and inpatient care, administrative leadership, and the use of digital health records systems such as Cerner. Beyond clinical work, he is passionate about medical education, having taught at medical schools and contributed to community health initiatives throughout his career.
