Dr. Taisir Hagar is a Consultant Psychiatrist with over 23 years of medical experience, including 19 years dedicated to the field of psychiatry. She brings to Sheikh Sultan Bin Zayed Hospital a deep understanding of complex mental health conditions, extensive experience across inpatient and outpatient settings, and a strong focus on evidence-based treatment and patient-centered care.
Dr. Taisir graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at Omdurman Islamic University in Sudan. She holds a Doctor of Medicine in Psychiatry from Sudan and the Arab Board in Psychiatry. Over the course of her career, she has led multidisciplinary teams, contributed to research, and actively supported the training of medical professionals. In 2024, she received the Silver Award from the Al Amal Research Awards for his outstanding contributions to psychiatric practice.
Prior to joining Sheikh Sultan Bin Zayed Hospital, Dr. Taisir served as a Consultant Psychiatrist at Al Amal Psychiatric Hospital in the United Arab Emirates, where she provided advanced care for mood disorders, psychotic illnesses, and complex comorbid case.
