Dr. Hamid has over eight years of medical experience in general practice, emergency care, and surgical patient management.
Dr. Hamid obtained her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the International University of Africa in 2013. She later pursued postgraduate medical training in surgery through the Sudan Medical Specialization Board (SMSB), completing several years of residency training in General Surgery and successfully passing the Core Surgical Training Examination, qualifying as a senior registrar. She also holds the first part of the Clinical MD in General Surgery from the Sudan Medical Specialization Board and completed a Master’s Degree in Human Morphology and Research Methodology in Anatomy from the University of Khartoum in 2020.
Dr. Hamid has extensive clinical experience across emergency medicine, surgical care, and primary healthcare settings. Her work has included the management of trauma cases, emergency stabilization, and surgical patient care across multiple specialties including orthopedics, plastic surgery, urology, neurosurgery, and pediatric surgery. She has also managed critically ill patients in intensive care settings and gained experience in burn management, emergency procedures, and multidisciplinary surgical care. In addition to emergency and surgical practice, Dr. Hamid has provided comprehensive primary care services including chronic disease management, preventive healthcare, geriatric care, women’s health, and patient education. She is certified in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Advanced Life Support (ALS), and has contributed to clinical research with presentations at international medical conferences.
Prior to joining Sheikh Sultan Bin Zayed Hospital, Dr. Hamid worked as a General Practitioner at Wellness One Day Surgery Center in Abu Dhabi, where she provided comprehensive patient care including diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic conditions, minor surgical procedures, emergency care, and multidisciplinary coordination of patient management.
At Sheikh Sultan Bin Zayed Hospital, Dr. Hamid’s scope of practice covers adult primary care services including the diagnosis and management of acute and chronic medical conditions, preventive healthcare and health promotion, minor surgical procedures, emergency stabilization of patients, management of trauma and urgent medical presentations, and coordination of multidisciplinary care to support optimal patient outcomes.
