Dr. Zainab Hamid is a General Practitioner in General Surgery with more than eight years of medical experience, including four years of focused practice in surgical specialties. She brings to Sheikh Sultan Bin Zayed Hospital a strong academic foundation, surgical training, and diverse clinical exposure across emergency, trauma, ICU, and subspecialty settings. Her practice is grounded in delivering safe, patient-centered surgical care while supporting holistic recovery.
Dr. Hamid earned her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the International University of Africa in Sudan. She later completed a Master of Science in Human Morphology and Research Methodology in Anatomy at the University of Khartoum. She also holds a Clinical Doctor of Medicine (Part 1) in General Surgery from the Sudan Medical Specialization Board. During her surgical residency, she advanced to R4 level and successfully passed the Core Surgical Training Exam, qualifying as a senior registrar. Prior to joining Sheikh Sultan Bin Zayed Hospital, Dr. Hamid served as a General Practitioner at Wellness One Day Surgery Center in Abu Dhabi, where she was actively involved in managing a wide range of surgical cases. She holds licensure from the Department of Health (DOH), Ministry of Health (MOH), and Dubai Health Authority (DHA), underscoring her commitment to high standards of care.
