Dr. George Ghali has over 25 years of medical experience in internal medicine, emergency medicine, and primary care.
Dr. Ghali obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBCh) from the Faculty of Medicine at Cairo University, Egypt, in 1996. He later completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Family Medicine from Maastricht School of Medicine in the Netherlands in 1999. He further advanced his specialization by obtaining a Master’s degree in Internal Medicine from the Faculty of Medicine at Benha University, Egypt, in 2012.
Dr. Ghali has extensive clinical experience in the diagnosis and management of a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions. Throughout his career, he has worked across internal medicine departments, emergency medicine settings, and critical care environments. His experience includes the comprehensive assessment of patients, interpretation of laboratory and diagnostic results, development of individualized treatment plans, and coordination of multidisciplinary care to support optimal patient outcomes. He has also played active leadership roles in hospital emergency response systems, including serving as a team leader for Code Blue emergency response teams and contributing to quality and safety initiatives.
Prior to joining Sheikh Sultan Bin Zayed Hospital, Dr. Ghali worked as a Specialist in Internal Medicine at Zayed Military Hospital in Abu Dhabi. Earlier in his career, he served as a Specialist in Internal Medicine at Fujairah Hospital for several years, where he was actively involved in emergency response leadership, clinical auditing, and electronic medical record training for physicians. He also worked as an Emergency Physician at Fujairah Hospital and gained earlier clinical experience in hospitals and primary healthcare centers across Egypt and Saudi Arabia.
Dr. Ghali’s scope of practice covers the diagnosis and management of a broad range of adult medical conditions including acute and chronic illnesses, cardiovascular and metabolic disorders, gastrointestinal conditions, infectious diseases, and complex multi-system conditions. His role also includes comprehensive patient evaluation, interpretation of laboratory and diagnostic findings, medication management, inpatient care and monitoring, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams and specialty services to ensure holistic patient care.
