Dr. Karim Abdelrehim has garnered eight years of medical experience in internal medicine across hospitals in the UAE and Egypt.
Dr. Abdelrehim obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from Kasr Al-Ainy Medical School at Cairo University, Egypt, in 2015. He has completed Part one and Part two of the Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) in General Medicine from the Royal College of Physicians in Ireland. He has also completed the first year of a master’s degree in Healthcare Quality Management and the first part of a master’s degree in Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Tropical Medicine at Kasr Al-Ainy Medical School, Cairo University.
Dr. Abdelrehim has gained broad clinical experience in internal medicine across several hospitals in the UAE and Egypt. His clinical work focuses on the diagnosis and management of a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions affecting adult patients. His responsibilities have included comprehensive patient assessment, interpretation of laboratory and diagnostic investigations, coordination with multidisciplinary teams, and development of individualized treatment plans to support optimal patient outcomes.
Prior to joining Sheikh Sultan Bin Zayed Hospital, Dr. Abdelrehim worked as an Internal Medicine Resident at Zayed Military Hospital in Abu Dhabi. Earlier in his career, he worked as an Internal Medicine Resident at Fakeeh University Hospital in Dubai and Thumbay Hospital in Dubai. He also served as an Internal Medicine Resident at Al-Ganzouri Specialist Hospital in Egypt and gained intensive care experience at Al-Nasr Medical Insurance Hospital. During this time, he was involved in the management of patients with a wide range of medical conditions including cardiovascular, respiratory, gastrointestinal, neurological, and renal disorders.
At Sheikh Sultan Bin Zayed Hospital, Dr. Abdelrehim’s scope of practice covers the diagnosis and management of adult medical conditions including cardiovascular disease, respiratory disorders, gastrointestinal conditions, metabolic diseases, infectious diseases, and other complex medical illnesses. His role also includes inpatient care, interpretation of diagnostic investigations, medication management, and coordination with other specialties to provide comprehensive patient-centered care.
