Dr. Maha Faisal has more than 15 years of medical experience in emergency medicine.
Dr. Maha obtained her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS). She later completed the Membership of the Royal College of Emergency Medicine (MRCEM) followed by the Fellowship of the Royal College of Emergency Medicine (FRCEM), reflecting her advanced training and specialization in emergency care. She has also completed a Postgraduate Diploma (PGDip) in Healthcare Management and Leadership, further strengthening her expertise in clinical leadership and healthcare systems.
Dr. Maha is a UK-trained Emergency Medicine Consultant with extensive experience in managing acutely ill and injured patients across a wide range of clinical settings. She has worked in major trauma centers and tertiary hospitals across different regions of the United Kingdom and has gained subspecialty experience in pre-hospital emergency medicine, including service with the East of England Air Ambulance. Her clinical experience includes the management of complex medical and traumatic emergencies in both adult and pediatric patients, as well as leadership roles within emergency departments and multidisciplinary teams.
Prior to joining Sheikh Sultan Bin Zayed Hospital, Dr. Maha worked as an Emergency Medicine Consultant in the United Kingdom before relocating to the United Arab Emirates in 2019. She subsequently worked at Al Qassimi Hospital and Sheikh Khalifa Hospital Emergency Departments, where she continued to deliver high-quality emergency care across diverse patient populations.
At Sheikh Sultan Bin Zayed Hospital, Dr. Maha’s scope of practice covers the assessment and management of acute medical and traumatic emergencies, stabilization of critically ill patients, emergency care for both adult and pediatric populations, and leadership in emergency department clinical operations and multidisciplinary coordination.
