Biography

Dr. Moharam is an experienced ICU Specialist with over 15 years of medical experience, including approximately ten years of post-master clinical practice in Critical Care Medicine across Egypt, Kuwait, and the UAE.

He obtained his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in 2008 and his Master’s Degree in Critical Care Medicine in 2016 from the Faculty of Medicine, Alexandria University, Egypt. He has successfully completed Part One of the European Diploma in Intensive Care (EDIC) and is currently preparing for Part Two, reflecting his continued commitment to advancing clinical excellence in intensive care.

Dr. Moharam has extensive experience in the management of critically ill adult patients, particularly those requiring mechanical ventilation, advanced ventilatory strategies, and comprehensive organ support. His clinical approach is grounded in evidence-based practice, vigilant bedside monitoring, and multidisciplinary collaboration to ensure safe and responsive ICU care.

He is also an internationally published author of the study, “Effect of Different Modes of Ventilation on Diaphragmatic Excursion in Mechanically Ventilated Patients: An Ultrasonographic Assessment,” conducted at the Department of Critical Care Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, Alexandria University. His academic work reflects a strong interest in ventilatory management and the use of bedside ultrasonography in critical care settings.

Prior to joining Sheikh Sultan Bin Zayed Hospital, Dr. Moharam served as an ICU Specialist at New Mowasat Hospital, Kuwait.

At Sheikh Sultan Bin Zayed Hospital, Dr. Moharam’s scope of practice covers adult critical care services, including the diagnosis and management of critically ill patients, mechanical ventilation (invasive and non-invasive), advanced ventilatory strategies, hemodynamic monitoring, organ support, management of sepsis and multi-organ failure, advanced life support, and a range of invasive ICU procedures such as central venous line insertion, arterial line placement, airway management, dialysis catheter insertion, and defibrillation.
