Dr. Krishnappa has 16 years of medical experience in emergency medicine and acute patient care.
Dr. Krishnappa obtained his Doctor of Medicine (MD) in Emergency Medicine and further completed a Fellowship in Emergency Medicine. Over the course of his training and professional development, he has built extensive expertise in the assessment and management of complex emergency cases across multiple medical and surgical specialties.
Dr. Krishnappa has significant clinical experience in emergency and critical care environments, managing a wide spectrum of acute and life-threatening medical conditions. His practice includes the management of trauma cases, toxicology emergencies, cardiac emergencies, neurological conditions, surgical emergencies, and critical care patients. He is particularly experienced in the management of polytrauma and mass casualty incidents, requiring rapid assessment, stabilization, and multidisciplinary coordination. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Krishnappa has actively contributed to medical education, teaching undergraduate and postgraduate medical trainees and initiating training programs for nurses and emergency medical technicians (EMTs) focused on emergency life-saving techniques.
Prior to joining Sheikh Sultan Bin Zayed Hospital, Dr. Krishnappa practiced as an Emergency Medicine Physician where he provided frontline care for patients presenting with acute illnesses and traumatic injuries in high-pressure emergency department settings.
