Dr. Yahia has over 14 years of experience in Endocrinology and Internal Medicine, with expertise in complex metabolic conditions and a broad spectrum of endocrine disorders.
He earned his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the University of Gezira, Sudan, in 1996. He completed his specialist training in Endocrinology, Diabetes Mellitus, and General (Internal) Medicine in the United Kingdom under Health Education England – East Midlands, obtaining a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in 2017.
Dr. Yahia has held consultant roles across a wide range of university and general hospitals in the UK, as well as in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia at Suliman Al-Habeeb Medical Group. Most recently, he served as Consultant in Endocrinology and General Internal Medicine at Fujairah Hospital, Emirates Health Services, UAE.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Yahia is an active academic contributor. He has authored and peer-reviewed articles in the field of Endocrinology and Diabetes and has been involved in medical education and training programs at multiple institutions.
Dr. Yahia is a Member of the Royal College of Physicians of Glasgow and the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland. He also holds memberships with the British Endocrine Society, European Endocrine Society, International Endocrine Society, and the Endocrine Society.
Prior to joining Sheikh Sultan Bin Zayed Hospital, Dr. Yahia worked as a Consultant in Endocrinology and General Internal Medicine at Fujairah Hospital, Emirates Health Services, UAE.
Dr. Yahia’s scope of practice includes advanced diabetes care (including post-transplant and cystic fibrosis-related diabetes), antenatal endocrinology, pituitary and adrenal disorders, bone metabolism issues, general endocrinology, and thalassemia-related endocrine conditions.
Comprehensive diabetes management, endocrine complications in pregnancy, thyroid disorders, pituitary and adrenal disorders, bone and metabolic conditions, hormonal imbalances (including PCOS, delayed growth in adolescents, and male endocrine disorders), medical weight management, and post-bariatric medical care.
