Dr. Wujood Alfalasi has more than 13 years of experience in orthodontics, with extensive expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of orthodontic conditions in children, adolescents, and adults.
Dr. Alfalasi obtained her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from Ajman University of Science and Technology, United Arab Emirates, in 2007. She later completed her postgraduate specialty training in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics at the Boston University Institute for Dental Research and Education, USA, where she earned both a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies (CAGS) and a Master of Science in Dentistry (MSD) in 2012.
Dr. Alfalasi has extensive experience in providing comprehensive orthodontic care, including the diagnosis, treatment planning, and management of a wide range of orthodontic malocclusions. Her expertise includes fixed orthodontic appliances, functional appliances, clear aligner therapy, and the treatment of both routine and complex orthodontic cases. She is experienced in managing multidisciplinary cases and has worked closely with maxillofacial surgeons in the preparation and treatment of patients requiring orthognathic surgery.
Throughout her career, Dr. Alfalasi has successfully treated both surgical and non-surgical orthodontic cases, achieving high levels of patient satisfaction. She is also an experienced Invisalign provider and has extensive experience managing complex cases using clear aligner technology. In addition to her clinical work, she has contributed to the training and mentorship of dental graduates and interns in the field of orthodontics.
Prior to joining Sheikh Sultan Bin Zayed Hospital, Dr. Alfalasi worked as a Specialist Orthodontist at Burjeel Medical City and Sparkle Dental Boutique in Abu Dhabi. She currently practises across several leading healthcare facilities in the UAE, including the International Center for Dental Excellence (ICDE) and Tham Oral Care in Abu Dhabi, as well as Dr. Al Dental Clinic in Dubai. Earlier in her career, she served as a Specialist Orthodontist at Zayed Military Hospital for seven years, where she managed a wide range of orthodontic cases and mentored junior clinicians.
