Dr. Yuriy Bogomazov has more than 23 years of medical experience, including over 15 years of specialized experience in radiology.
Dr. Bogomazov obtained his Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from Donetsk State Medical M. Gorky University in Ukraine in 2003. He later completed additional medical studies and obtained an MD degree from the Faculty of Human Medicine at Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg in Germany in 2011. He is board certified in Radiology in Germany and has further advanced certifications in cardiovascular imaging, including Cardiac CT and Cardiac MRI.
Dr. Bogomazov has extensive expertise across diagnostic and interventional radiology, with broad experience in musculoskeletal, oncologic, abdominal, pelvic, vascular, and neuroradiological imaging. His clinical work includes advanced MRI and CT imaging of the spine and peripheral joints, comprehensive oncologic imaging for staging and follow-up, abdominal and pelvic MRI and CT imaging, vascular imaging including MR and CT angiography, and specialized urogenital imaging in collaboration with urology teams. He also has subspecialty expertise in cardiovascular imaging, including advanced Cardiac CT and MRI interpretation.
In addition to diagnostic radiology, Dr. Bogomazov has practical experience in image-guided interventional procedures, particularly CT-guided pain management procedures including periradicular therapy (PRT) and facet joint injections, as well as procedures related to MR arthrography. He has worked extensively within multidisciplinary clinical teams, collaborating closely with orthopedic surgeons, oncologists, neurologists, stroke units, and urology specialists to support complex case management and patient-centered care.
Prior to joining Sheikh Sultan Bin Zayed Hospital, Dr. Bogomazov worked as a Consultant Radiologist at DRZ MVZ Oyora Group across multiple centers in Germany, including Sinsheim, Heidelberg, Walldorf, Erbach, and Eberbach, where he provided advanced radiology and cross-sectional imaging services.
