Dr. Mai Elgoukhy is an experienced Internal Medicine Resident with over 14 years of clinical experience, including more than 12 years of practice across leading tertiary hospitals in the United Arab Emirates. She has a subspecialty focus in diabetes and metabolic disorders, with advanced expertise in obesity and lifestyle-related conditions.
Dr. Mai holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS), along with a Master’s degree in Diabetes. She is internationally certified in obesity management and is a Member of the Royal College of Physicians (Ireland and UK) in Internal Medicine. In addition, she holds a Master’s degree in Leadership and Health Education from the United Kingdom and the UAE.
She has extensive experience across inpatient, outpatient, and emergency care settings, managing a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions. Her clinical practice includes the assessment and stabilization of acute cases, as well as the long-term management of complex diseases.
Dr. Mai has a special interest in comprehensive diabetes and metabolic disease management, including individualized treatment planning, insulin therapy optimization, and the prevention and management of complications. She also manages associated conditions such as obesity, hypertension, and dyslipidemia, with a strong focus on patient education and lifestyle modification.
